Drawing & Coloring Apps on iOS: Q2 2024 Performance in the US

In the second quarter of 2024, the drawing and coloring app category on iOS saw varied performances among the top contenders. Sensor Tower provided a detailed look into the trends of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users for these creative outlets.

Happy Color by Numbers Game showed a consistent increase in downloads over the quarter, starting at 4.31M and peaking at 5.72M in early June before a slight drop to 3.66M. Weekly active users fluctuated, with a high of approximately 90K in late May and a low of around 72K by the quarter's end.

Pixel Art － Color by Number experienced a significant spike in downloads in late May, reaching nearly 7M, up from about 2.7M to 3.4M earlier in the quarter. Revenue saw a peak of $1.7M at the start of April, with a gradual decrease to $1.2M and then a rebound to $1.6M by late June. Active users reached their highest at nearly 48K in the third week of June.

For Color by Number：Coloring Games, downloads started strong at nearly 5M but saw a downward trend to 2.2M in mid-June, followed by a slight increase to 2.8M. Weekly active users showed a general decline from 29K to 21K throughout the quarter.

Zen Color - Color By Number demonstrated a steady performance in revenue, with numbers ranging from $137K to $263K. Downloads and active users were relatively stable, with downloads hovering around 2M and active users staying close to 16K.

Phone Case DIY had no revenue to report, but downloads and active users presented a noteworthy pattern. Downloads saw a rise from 1.24M in late April to 1.9M in early May, then a gradual decrease to 1.45M. Weekly active users slightly decreased from around 8K at the beginning of the quarter to 5.8K by the end.
